Case study - Savarona

Our newest member is also our host venue. Or perhaps that should be the other way round! Savarona, the luxury restaurant serving delicious Ottoman cuisine that opened on Great Eastern Street last year is not only our illustrious venue for the Shoreditch chapter of BNI's weekly meetings, but the owner manager Ali Kocu is also our newest member.

The splendid, architecturally designed interiors of Savarona grant an unmistakable identity to the restaurant. Decades of research enabled us to ensure the right tones were met to compliment the food and wine served by designing the 150 seater restaurant. Our architect spent 2 months in Turkey studying classic Ottoman design in the name of inspiration.

Again, Savarona is host to the stars of the world as BBC's Murphy's Law stages an extended scene in the restaurant and the bar. James Nesbitt and Mark Womack (both pictured) found the restaurant ideally suited to the program which revolves around Nesbitt acting as undercover cop, Tommy Murphy.

RESTAURANT REVIEW * * * *

Savarona is beautifully done out, as befits a venue trying to pull picky locals; leather and dark wood bar upstairs tasteful khaki walls and plush white chairs downstairs, with low lighting and judicious use of wrought iron thoughout.
